Simplify and consolidate authentication

I'm using Vialogues and Ednode in the same browser (Firefox) and it appears that I had to log into each of them independently. The login procedure needs to be as simple and consistent as possible unless you want to set a high bar for users. If...

Suppose, right after registering, the user had to take a quick survey via sliding scale of his or her level (novice to master) of aptitude in particular subjects (which can be added by users as they join Ednode).

Make finding connections easier

Great concept! Perhaps a clearer link in the nav to make finding connections and shared interests/areas of research easier? Maybe a list of 'similar profiles' at the bottom of a search query would help.

Hi Kate, Thanks for your feedback. Can you elaborate more on your second point about showing a list of 'similar profiles' at the bottom of a search query?
Currently, the recommendations that you get on the home page are the people whose profiles are most similar to your profile and you can always search for people by interests and username under the search tab.

Why is Jill Bauerle always the top recommendation? Is there something wrong with the algorithm. Various people have reported this to me and I am noticing it when I am logged in as Hui Soo, EdLabTC, and other accounts.

1. Make sure you have added Gottesman Libraries as your connection on Ednode. 2. Click on your "Bulletin" link from the top navigation bar. 3. You will find a link to your commencement 2011 pictures posted on your bulletin page.

Hi Robert, This error occurs when the file you are trying to upload is not an image file. Please make sure that you upload a file with extension .jpg, or .png
Let us know if you are still not able to upload images.

Just a note on the login / forgot password error message: 'Email doesn't exists' For grammatical accuracy, it should be: 'Email doesn't exist.'

Now you can contact other users by sending a private message. They will receive an email with your message, name and email address and can reply back on your email address. Let us know what you think of this brand new functionality!
